You will have seen the developing political crisis in The Gambia. Many tens-of-thousands of Gambians are fleeing the country into the countryside or crossing into Senegal. We have spent 24 hours locating all our sponsored & supported children & families. All sponsors have been informed of the location of their families. Some have fled into neighbouring Senegal and some are up river away from the potential hotspots should EWOCAS/UN troops go into Gambia later today.

We NOW Desperately NEED YOUR HELP! We have many destitute families away from their homes & their support networks. Our Ambassador Fatima is on the ground in Senegal. She has informed us this afternoon that there are many woman & children who are now refugees in Senegal. That have NO FOOD or shelter as they have fled Gambia in fear with nothing! Winged Dreams wants to help these Gambian displaced families with emergency food and provide access to medical treatment. She has just described to me a heart breaking image of a young mum with 3 small children who have had no food or water for 2 days and have no money or access to any support.

There is NO international or refugee aid for these children or families. They are totally alone and very afraid. We can do something immediately. We will send emergency money to Fatima to purchase rice & basic food needs in the coming hours. She will then set up rice distribution, as we run in The Gambia.
